Karen Schuett has a background of more that 25 years’ experience in environmental remediation and water treatment project work. As CEO of Livestock Water Recycling, the global leader of manure treatment technology, Karen oversees the integration between LWR’s overall corporate strategy and the focus on innovation. Karen has brought her message of lagoon-free protein production to the international market as she works with her team to digitize waste, recycle clean water, and create a waste-to-worth value proposition for global food producers.
Karen was named one of the six most influential women in Canadian Agriculture for her vision of sustainable protein production and was named as one of Canada's Clean 50.
In 2022 LWR became certified by the Solar Impulse Foundation as one of 50 clean technologies to watch. The LWR Methane Avoidance project in Washington State was named to the Clean 50 Top Projects in 2023.Also in late 2023 LWR won the WATER category in the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge.
