Canada's Transactions in Services with Asia: Commercial Services, 2017

Canada experienced a deficit in commercial services trade with Asia in 2017 due to the magnitude of the negative balance with India and Japan. Our top destination for the export of commercial services, Hong Kong, accounted for 21% of Canada's receipts from Asia while Canada purchased 29% of its Asian commercial services from Japan. Other than Japan and India, in 2017, Canada also experienced negative balance with the Philippines.
