Bio
Currently serving as the CEO and co-founder of Smart Capital, Kate possesses a diverse industry background and many years of investment experience.
Founded in 2017, Smart Capital is one of the biggest angel-investment clubs in Taiwan, with almost 500 angel investors.
In 2021, Kate served as the president of the Tsing Hua Angel Association, dedicating herself to the advancement of innovation and entrepreneurship. As the initiator of the ‘WorkFace Taipei’ entrepreneurship community, she actively promotes the prosperity of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering resources, platforms, and networking opportunities to entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration and innovation across industries.
Kate also demonstrates strategic vision and management abilities in the realm of investment management. She invests in five startup funds and currently manages three of them. She met with hundreds of entrepreneurs, providing them with in-depth guidance and support.
With extensive industry knowledge and practical experience, she possesses unique insights into emerging technologies and business models. She is committed to identifying and nurturing high-potential startups to benefit the business ecosystem.
Graduating from National Tsing Hua University with a degree in economics, Kate later obtained an International MBA from National Chengchi University.
With almost 10 years of investment experience, her interests span multiple sectors, including blockchain, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, IP in film and television, SaaS, food and beverage, and more.
