Introducing...Bronwyn Bridges, CEO and Co-Founder, PragmaClin

Since joining the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s Women-only Business Mission to Japan in 2022, Bronwyn Bridges’s star has steadily risen.  

A trailblazer in the health tech sector, Bronwyn leads PragmaClin, which has developed a digital assessment tool for neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease.  

She has helped leverage over C$1 million in non-dilutive government funding and received over C$300,000 through successful pitch competitions.  

Bronwyn has published research about the pathology of Parkinson’s disease and the potential benefit of dietary polyphenols and has presented her work at several conferences in the digital health space.  

She sits on the local Parkinson’s disease board and the Academic Council at Memorial University of Newfoundland. 

She has won several awards over her research career including Youth of the Year, Terry Fox Humanitarian Scholar, National Impact Award in AgeTech, and a dozen more awards over the last year for her accomplishments in the health tech field and digital health space.  

Bronwyn has also been named one of the top entrepreneurs in Canada, and was listed as top idea stage company in the world entrepreneurship cup, and the top early-stage company to come out of a university.  

She has also participated in some of the top programs for entrepreneurs, such as the Creative Destruction Lab, Canadian Tech Accelerators, and more. 

As a CanWIN member, Bronwyn has been dedicated to uplifting women entrepreneurs through taking part in CanWIN Roundtables across the country. As a speaker on panels at the Newfoundland and Labrador Roundtable and Alberta Roundtable, she’s shared her experiences navigating government funding and growing into international markets such as the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.  

At the Women-only Business Mission to South Korea and Thailand, she spoke at the symposium in Thailand at Thammasat University and made an impression on young female students aspiring to become entrepreneurs.  

As part of Atlantic Canada’s ‘30 Under 30,’ Bronwyn Bridges remains passionate about equal access to health care, neurodegenerative diseases, mental health awareness, and driving change through digital health solutions.
