Phebe M. Ferrer is the Senior Research Specialist for the APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership. She was a former MSME Research Assistant and a Junior Research Scholar. She is an MA graduate from the University of British Columbia's Department of Political Science.

Kai Valdez Bettcher is a Research Specialist with the Business Asia team at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and a graduate of the Master of Public Policy program at the University of Calgary. He is also a University of Alberta alumnus (2015).

He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of B.C., and MAs in International Relations from the US Naval Postgraduate School and in Asia-Pacific Policy Studies from the Institute of Asian Research of the University of B.C.
