Brent Napier

Director of Enforcement Policy and Programs, Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Brent Napier is the Director of Enforcement Policy and Programs and has been working in enforcement realm with Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s (DFO) for nearly two decades. Brent is accountable for directing the delivery of national and international enforcement programs and initiatives, leading, managing and supporting enforcement operations at all levels within DFO; for developing the national and international operational requirements and readiness postures for DFO’s.

Brent has represented Canada at numerous international fora related to monitoring control and surveillance in the fisheries domain and taken part in bilateral and multilateral negotiations with the objective of combatting IUU activity and protecting and advancing Canadian fisheries interest.
