Michael Roberts

Michael Roberts is Director of Communications at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. Prior to joining APF Canada in 2015, he was the Editorial Operations Manager (2010) and later Managing Director, Custom Publishing (2013), at Canada Wide Media, where he managed the company’s editorial team, client relationships and publications, corporate communications, website, and social media.

Before joining Canada Wide Media, Mike was the Managing Editor of Post Group Multimedia (2008), where he oversaw the production of the company’s community newspapers and websites, media and community relations, and communications and marketing initiatives. He spent his early career (1991-2008) as a daily journalist in Vancouver as a reporter, columnist, and long-form features writer. Mike won several major awards in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, including two National Newspaper Award Citations, three Jack Webster Awards for Excellence in Journalism, The Commonwealth Press Union Words & Images Award, and The South Asian Journalism Association of North America Daniel Pearl Award.
