Juan Navarro
Mr. Juan Navarro is the President and Principal Researcher of CMX Partnerships. Navarro is a researcher, educator, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of combined experience in international business, trade, corporate finance, and economics. As a researcher, Navarro has undertaken high-profile projects and provided analyses on next-generation trade and investment issues related to free trade agreements for leading organizations, including the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), and the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC), among others. He has also served as a speaker at international meetings in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, the United States, and Chile. In addition to his research, Navarro has worked for nearly two decades as an associate faculty member at various business schools, including Royal Roads University since 2017.
Navarro is an active member of the Canadian International Council (CIC), the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance, and several chambers and business organizations. Navarro collaborated with the World Bank Institute as part of a panel of experts assessing high-impact entrepreneurial projects in developing countries in 2016 and 2017. He has volunteered as a business mentor at Futurpreneur Canada for the past eight years, providing business guidance to Canadian entrepreneurs. Prior to moving to Canada, Navarro served for 10 years as an economist at the Mexican Central Bank, where he conducted analyses on regional economies. He holds two master’s degrees, one in Global Management and another in Finance, a Bachelor of Business Administration, and two diplomas in Economics and Public Finance. He is certified as an international trade professional by the FITT.
