Jamie Cin Yee Leung

Jamie Cin Yee Leung is currently a fifth-year student at the University of British Columbia, pursuing an Honours degree in Political Science and minoring in Asian Studies. She is especially interested in social media, nationalism, and popular culture, with a particular focus in her studies on East Asian media as a site for civil society and state interactions.

As a former member of the Student Election Watch team for the 2019 Indonesian general elections, Jamie is excited about returning as the Co-Director of Student Election Watch Programming. She is enthusiastic about working with students and professionals to inform the Canadian public about elections in Asia, as well as contributing to the Asia Pacific Foundation's mission of strengthening ties between Asia and Canada.
