Nicola Jones-Crossley
Nicola Jones-Crossley is a Business Development Manager at Futurpreneur Canada, working with start-up entrepreneurs to support them in the initial stages of their business. She connects with mentors across sectors and collaborates with community partners to build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in British Columbia.
Prior to her work in Canada, Nicola was the Founding Director of a consultancy based in Bangkok, Thailand, that focused on promoting gender equality and celebrating female leadership. She worked extensively across Southeast Asia facilitating leadership development initiatives, implementing education curriculums, and working with organizational partners to create social change. Nicola has worked in Thailand, Japan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Australia, and Canada on projects for organizations such as Google, UNESCO Asia Pacific, Accor Hotels, AKIN ASIA, and Love Frankie. In 2017 she gave the opening keynote address to a class of graduating students from the Asian University for Women, and she later guest lectured there on a series of workshops to develop job readiness.
Nicola is excited to work with the Asia Pacific Youth Council in her role as the Director of Entrepreneurship and Asia Pacific Business. She is eager to make use of her experience working in the region to engage Canadian youth in uncovering opportunities across the Asia Pacific.
