Brown Bag on the Uyghur Community in Canada

Elena Caprioni will discuss the emerging Muslim diaspora in Canada, the Uyghur Community, at the APF Canada Brown Bag Session on Wednesday Dec 15 from 12:00 - 1:00pm.  She will discuss Uyghur migration to Canada which first began in the 1990s and today is now a significant diaspora in Canada.  She will explore the Uyghur diaspora’s actual role, its capacity and resources to organize into associations, and its involvement with political networks to promote its cultural and social integration.
