Donald Campbell is the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister's Personal Representive for G8 Summits (1997-2000), and Deputy Minister of International Trade (1989 - 1993) in the department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (now Global Affairs Canada).
He will be providing his insights from the summit on the Asia Pacific Economic-Cooperation (APEC) 2017 meetings in Vietnam, exploring where the Trade Pacific Partnership (TPP) stands now that the U.S. has pulled out. He will also share some of his deep understanding of NAFTA, and how it intertwines with the TPP – and how Canada may ultimately benefit from the current crisis of fractured alliances and straned strategic relationships internationally.
