The Institute of Asian Research and the Faculties of Law and Medicine at the University of British Columbia are holding an international conference on current health policy concerns in Asia on December 6-7 in Vancouver. The conference will bring together academic researchers and civil society advocates to cover issues including medical tourism, HIV/AIDS and human rights, the tobacco industry, property rights and pharmaceuticals, work in the health sector, drug users’ access to health care, new developments in e-health, health impacts of mining, policy reform, geopolitics and HIV, policing and harm prevention.
