Lt. Col. Harjit S. Sajjan will lead a brown bag lunch discussion on "Reducing the Influence of Radical Groups in Afghanistan' at APF Canada's Vancouver office on Monday, October 27 from 12:00pm-1:15pm. Harjit Sajjan is a human security expert lecturing to a wide audience to both Canadian and US government agencies. He is also a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Canadian Army Reserves and he recently relinquished command of The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught’s Own). He has completed four operational deployments; one to Bosnia and three to Afghanistan. His most recent deployment to Afghanistan was in November 2010 as a Special Advisor to Major-General James Terry, Commanding General of 10th Mountain Division and to the Senior US State Representative in Southern Afghanistan.
