Noah Holdings, APF Canada Partner on China Connect Internship Program in Hong Kong

VANCOUVER, BC – February 26, 2018 – The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) is pleased to announce the Noah-APF Canada China Connect Program, which was launched today in partnership with Noah Canada Wealth Management Limited (Noah Canada), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Noah Holdings, China’s first NYSE-listed and largest independent wealth and asset manager.

The Noah-APF Canada China Connect Program is part of a series of country-specific programs that provide financial support to Canadian post-secondary students to acquire valuable work experience in some of Asia’s fastest-growing markets. Through a 12-week summer internship at Noah Holding’s office in Hong Kong, four Canadian university students will develop their knowledge of the wealth and asset management industry in China, and will gain valuable global experience from working for a Chinese company. In addition to these benefits, each participating student will receive an award of C$7,000 to cover travel and living costs in Hong Kong.

“Noah has developed a fellowship program since 2017 to attract the best global talent to the wealth and asset management industry in China. Every year, the Noah Fellowship Committee will select a maximum of 10 students from the top universities including Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, and Wharton to work at one of Noah’s offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong or Silicon Valley. We are glad to extend the fellowship program to Canadian top universities in 2018 by partnering with the Asia Pacific Foundation Canada for the ‘China Connect Program,’” said Kenny Lam, Group President of Noah Holdings Limited.

Ivy Zhang, the CEO of Noah Canada, said, “Noah has a great company culture. Colleagues are all very friendly and supportive. It’s a dynamic and welcoming workplace. I believe that the internship experience will give the Canadian university students first-hand experience about China.”

“With Asia, and particularly China, driving the global economy in the coming years it is critical that young Canadians gain the knowledge and experience they need to thrive in our changing world,” said APF Canada President and CEO, Stewart Beck. “The Noah-APF Canada China Connect Program presents an excellent opportunity for our students to learn first-hand about the bustling trade and finance hub of Hong Kong.”
