Kelly Grounds

Kelly graduated from Simon Fraser University with an Honour’s degree in Political Science and a minor in International Studies. She now works for Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada as a Junior Policy Analyst. Kelly is also a research assistant with SFU’s Disinformation Project. Kelly participated in two student election watches through APF Canada, focusing on Taiwan in 2020 and the Philippines in 2022. She has recently published an article with APF Canada on the increasing hostilities toward journalists in the Philippines. Kelly is especially interested in disinformation, cybersecurity, and international institutions, with a focus on technology policy and NATO. She also holds a diploma from the NATO Defence College.
