In this episode of Kakehashi Conversations, Alexander Treasure, a former APF Canada Research Scholar for Northeast Asia, sits down with Kakehashi alumnus Howard Fremeth, a communications leader with a diverse background in governmental relations, research, stakeholder relations, and journalism.
Former Vice-President for Media and Stakeholder Relations at the Business Council of Canada and current Vice-President Communications at The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, Howard has established a dynamic career in communications and public relations in both the private and public sector. His former position at the Business Council of Canada focused on modernizing their communications agendas and advocating for economic prioritizes in Ottawa. He is an advocate for Jewish education and recognition, a unique area that he explains ties into his Kakehashi experience in Hiroshima. Howard also discusses the long-lasting networks he made within Kakehashi that have contributed to his career growth.
