On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, I would like to formally announce that Stewart Beck, who has served as our organization’s President and CEO for the past seven years, will be retiring from his role when his current term expires at the end of August 2021. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Beck enjoyed a thirty-two-year distinguished career in the Canadian foreign service, with his last assignment being Canada’s High Commissioner to India from 2010-2014. I look forward to discussing Mr. Beck’s accomplishments with the Foundation closer to his retirement.
Executive search firm Odgers Berndtson is now conducting a global search for APF Canada’s next President and CEO. If you, or someone you know, is interested in this position, please email Elaine Grotefeld (elaine.grotefeld@odgersberndtson.com). Until that time, Mr. Beck will continue to lead our organization in its ongoing mission to be Canada’s catalyst for engagement with Asia, and Asia’s bridge to Canada.
– The Hon. Pierre Pettigrew, Chair of the Board, Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada
