Aletheia Kerygma B. Valenciano

Aletheia Kerygma B. Valenciano is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of the Philippines Diliman.

She obtained her B.A. (Political Science) from the same university and her M.A. (International Politics) from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA), Fudan University.

She is currently the Managing Editor of Asian Politics & Policy, and a fellow at Pacific Forum’s Young Leaders Program. She was also a fellow of the U.S. Department of State’s Quad-ASEAN Exchange Program in 2024; a visiting fellow at SIRPA-Fudan’s Belt and Road Initiative Program in 2023; and a visiting scholar at the China Institute of International Studies, where she conducted fieldwork research in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangxi on China-ASEAN regional diplomacy in 2018.

Her research interests include Chinese foreign policy and diplomacy, China-Philippines relations, security studies, and domestic politics and foreign policy nexus in international relations.
