Angus Yang

Angus Yang is an MPP candidate at Yale University. Prior to Yale, Angus served as a Taiwanese diplomat for more than five years. 

His most recent posting was in Ottawa, Canada. Notably, he organized and accompanied the official visit of a Canadian parliamentary delegation to Taiwan in 2023, where the delegation hand-delivered the unprecedented Canada-Taiwan report to Taiwan's president. 

While working as a senior officer at Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Angus orchestrated the historic visit of Czech senate president Miloš Vystrčil to Taiwan in 2020. 

Angus intends to continue his career as a diplomat with a focus on the economic and political challenges in the Indo-Pacific.
