Mary-Jane Lorette
With 28 years’ experience in both commercial and customer-centric areas within the airline industry, Mary-Jane currently oversees the development and performance of Air Canada’s international network, regulatory affairs, facilitation and partnership strategy.
In 1996, she started her career from the ground up in Customer Service at the Air Canada Call Centre in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Beginning in 1999, based at Air Canada’s headquarters in Montreal, Mary-Jane spent a decade in Revenue Management where she was responsible for international pricing, yield management and interline. During that time, she oversaw the implementation of the transatlantic Joint Venture with United Airlines and the Lufthansa Group. From 2011-2020, she spearheaded the airline’s alliance strategy, more than doubling the airline’s partnership portfolio. Mary-Jane also led the successful launches of the Joint Business Agreements with Air China, United Airlines and the strategic partnership with Emirates. Since 2020, she has been responsible for the airline’s successful and profitable international network recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Under Mary-Jane’s scope of responsibility is a route network of nearly 50 international destinations, spanning every inhabited continent.
Mary-Jane is the Chair of the Star Alliance Management Board and a member of the Star Alliance Strategic Committee. She is actively involved in the mentorship program at Air Canada where she currently mentors two future leaders.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours History) and a Bachelor of Education with Honours from the University of New Brunswick.
