The first in APF Canada's series on the impact of the CPTPP on merchandise and services trade between Canada and Asia, this 'mini-report' focuses on Singapore, one of the seven ‘AP7’ economies (signatories to the CPTPP) in the Asia Pacific. 

Tracking bilateral trade relations with Singapore at the national and subnational level in the five years post-CPTPP ratification (from 2019 to 2023) with 2018 data for context, our CPTPP Mini-Report: Singapore below identifies future trade opportunities for Canadian firms interested in expanding their presence in Singapore.

Kana Bak recently graduated with a master’s degree in international business from Sciences Po Paris. With experience in investment management and sustainability consulting across the EU as well as building business partnerships and research networks in South Korea and Singapore, Kana is dedicated to understanding and influencing diverse markets and geopolitical landscapes. She is particularly fascinated by minilateralism and the interdependencies of foreign capital flows with public policy.
