The 19th Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) General Meeting will be held in Tokyo on October 21-22 2010. The theme of this year's meeting is “PECC at 30:New Vision for APEC and Toward Further Regional Economic Cooperation.” Don Campbell, Distinguished Fellow of APF Canada will be attending as CANPEC Chair of the Canadian National Committee. Some of the themes to be examined at the conference include: Economic Recovery and Growth in Asia and the Pacific, Towards Resilient Societies, Climate Change, A Post-2010 APEC Trade Agenda and The Future of Global and Regional Cooperation: Looking toward the G-20 and APEC. PECC is a unique tripartite partnership of senior individuals from business and industry, government, academic and other intellectual circles. All participate in their private capacity and discuss freely on current, practical policy issues of the Asia Pacific region.
